Gift Card Terms & Conditions

Clear, human-friendly terms covering everything from purchasing a Space Shark Weddings gift card to booking the photoshoot it pays for.

TL;DR

Buying a Gift Card

Gift cards are sold online by Space Shark Weddings for personal use.

• You must be 18+ and able to enter a contract to purchase a card.
• All prices are shown in GBP and include any applicable taxes.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe, so you can use debit/credit cards, Apple/Google Pay, or Klarna Pay in 3 (subject to Klarna checks).
• Bulk discounts and promotional pricing shown on the product page apply automatically at checkout.

Everything is delivered electronically - no physical cards are posted.

• After payment you add or edit each recipient from the success page or your profile, so nothing is sent until you are ready.
• Every card email contains a unique QR code and redemption code; treat them like cash and keep them safe.
• Scheduling future deliveries costs £1.99 per send; instant delivery is free.
• If a code is misplaced before redemption, contact us and we can resend it to the purchaser's email address.

Gift cards cover the exact experience described on their product page.

• Unless a different period is listed, cards expire 12 months (365 days) after purchase. The expiry date appears in the confirmation email and inside your account.
• Cards cannot be exchanged for cash, used to buy other gift cards, or resold.
• You can use the card as part-payment toward a higher package or travel upgrade - the recipient simply pays any balance that exceeds the card's value.
• We may transfer an unused card to a different recipient at the purchaser's request, but once a card is redeemed it is locked to that booking.

We follow a simple, fair policy.

• Unused gift cards can be cancelled for a full refund within 14 days of the purchase confirmation email.
• After 14 days, cards are non-refundable but may be reassigned to someone else before redemption.
• If we are unable to deliver the advertised service, we will offer a new date or refund the remaining value.
• Your statutory rights are not affected.

Using a Gift Card

Start at spacesharkweddings.co.uk/giftcards/redeem or follow the link in your email.

• We validate that the card is active, unredeemed, and within its expiry window before proceeding.
• You will be asked to choose a phone or Zoom call so we can plan the shoot with you.
• Our team usually responds within 24 hours (Monday–Friday) to lock in next steps.

Shoots are booked on a first-come basis.

• Please redeem at least four weeks before you'd like to shoot - peak weekend slots fill quickly.
• Travel within our standard service area (Kent and the wider South East) is included. We can quote additional travel or venue fees before confirming your date.
• Your date is confirmed once we mutually agree the plan, sign the standard photography agreement, and settle any upgrades such as extra coverage or travel.

The gift card covers the inclusions listed on its product page.

• Typical inclusions are the stated shoot length, editing, and private gallery delivery. Albums, prints, or extended coverage are available as add-ons.
• The card value is applied as credit on your booking. If you upgrade your session, any remaining balance is due before the shoot.
• Our standard service contract, privacy policy, and insurance cover every shoot - we will send these documents during booking.

Life happens - just keep us in the loop.

• Need to move your date? Give us as much notice as possible. If we are available, we will happily reschedule at no charge.
• If you cancel after the 14-day cooling-off period, the fair-use cancellation terms in your photography agreement apply.
• Expired cards cannot be redeemed, but please contact us before the expiry date and we will do our best to help.
• If your code is lost after redemption, reach out via the support email so we can verify your identity and reissue it where possible.
